- An elected board member in Cambridge City Schools has a three-pronged message for parents looking toward next school year: Don’t do anything hasty, we don’t know what school will look like, but we still know ours will be the best thing for you. Bobcat Blended Learning Bonanza, anyone? (The Alliance Review, 6/7/20)
- Speaking of computer learning (were we?), Fairborn City Schools is celebrating the donation of three quarters of a million dollars—from an anonymous Fairborn grad—to be used to provide laptops to students. The goal is a laptop for everyone going forward. There’s no mention of any technology fee associated with this, but things can change so quickly these days. Don’t you agree? I’m thinking that Blu Skyhawk’s Cyber Synod might be a good name for an online school. (WDTN-TV, Dayton, 6/5/20)
- State officials can hold their horses too, it seems. Senator Matt Huffman has proposed a bill which would keep him, his colleagues, and all other state officials from calling the shots in school reopening decisions for next school year.
