Stretching the School Dollar Event ? airs November 20

11.11.2010

In case you missed it, or would like to see it again, our October 26 event?Cost-Cutting Strategies and Opportunities for Schools and Districts?will air on C-Span's Book TV on November 20 at 8:00 AM. Part of the panel discussion that day touched on cost-cutting strategies found in Stretching the School Dollar (Harvard Education Press, 2010), a book that was co-edited by Rick Hess of the American Enterprise Institute and Eric Osberg, formerly of Fordham Institute.

We?heard from?an excellent panel that included Hess, Executive Director of Education Policy Studies at AEI; Michael Casserly, Executive Director, Council of the Great City Schools; J. Wm. Covington, Superintendent of Schools, Kansas City, Missouri School District; and Karen Hawley Miles, President and Director, Education Resource Strategies.

So, rise and shine on November 20?.or set your TiVos.

And of course,?if you don't want to wait that long to watch, you can click here to watch our own recording of the event. Enjoy!
