New Leaders for New Schools fosters high academic achievement for every child by recruiting, training, and supporting the next generation of outstanding urban public school principals. Currently prepping leaders for district and charter schools in Chicago, New York, Washington, D.C., the Bay Area, and Memphis, New Leaders is one of six "innovative pathways to school leadership" profiled by the Department of Education in December 2004, and the only national training program included. New Leaders is accepting applications for its principal training program (online at www.nlns.org) until March 15.
