On Wednesday, September 3rd, from 4 to 5 p.m., the Fordham Institute will host a discussion of David Whitman's fresh and exciting book, Sweating the Small Stuff: Inner-City Schools and the New Paternalism. The Washington Post's Jay Mathews will offer comments (no doubt to express his disagreement with the "paternalism" label), as will SEED's principal, Charles Adams. On offer will be drinks, snacks and good conversation. Want to come? RSVP by sending an email to [email protected].
