In late March, from the warm ashes of the Charter Friends National Network, the National Charter School Alliance was launched under the leadership of board chairman Howard Fuller and president Marc Dean Millot. The new entity intends to serve as an effective voice for charter schools nationally, to provide increased advocacy for charter schools on federal policy issues, and to strengthen the organizational capacity of the charter movement in the states.
