The School Intervention and Data Specialist position is a part-time (20-25 hrs/week) position that reports to our Director of Applications and Contracts.
This is a hybrid position, with some work-from-home days and some days traveling to schools and to Fordham’s Dayton office.
The ideal candidate will be based in either Columbus, Cincinnati, or Dayton, Ohio
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Interacting with school personnel, families, the community, local agencies, and consultants
- Developing and implementing processes for the collection and analysis of charter school special education data and compliance
- Analyzing school performance on school data using multiple accountability frameworks and drafts and publishing reports and analysis regarding the same
- Drafting summaries regarding school data as requested
- Participating on school site visit teams as needed
- Providing special student populations technical assistance to schools in the region, to include special education, English as a second language, gifted, AP and IB programs, and dual enrollment options
- Interacting with the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce and other agencies as necessary
- Assisting with sponsor evaluation tasks
- Assisting sponsorship team as needed
POSITION REQUIRES
- Superior data analysis skills and attention to detail
- Superior communication and writing skills
- Ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of an organization
- Experience collecting, managing, analyzing, and publishing school or district data
- Knowledge of evidence-based instructional practices for special student groups
- Ability to travel for early morning and late evening school board meetings and ability to travel for on-site school visits
- Ability to travel to Dayton, Ohio, for staff meetings
- Ability to meet deadlines, work independently, and work with different teams
- Bachelor’s degree
K-12 teaching experience with specialized populations preferred
Compensation: $20,000/year.
