. We don’t get much detail on the Urban Network group—the folks pushing this proposal—in the piece. (A quick internet search should help you out on that point. Sure opened up my eyes.) But the one voice we do hear from regarding the new proposal comes from the highest echelons of Lorain City Schools. Specifically, a dude who followed the current “CEO” from Canton back to Lorain last year. Personally, I don’t think anyone currently in charge in Lorain—nor indeed in charge of Canton in recent years—would recognize a quality school even if it were wrapped up in a big orange bow and dropped in the center of town by flying hippos. - We have discussed the program Move to Prosper in these Bites several times before. It is , along with the great news that the pilot will now be expanded to a full 100-family program. While the folks who run the program are careful with their words—for very good reason—the true focus of the work is pretty obvious.
