The Thomas B. Fordham Institute, a respected charter school sponsor of 10 schools across 19 campuses serving 6,900 students statewide, and education policy organization, seeks a part-time Education Consultant (School Quality Analyst) to support oversight and quality improvement for charter schools in the Cincinnati region.
About the Role
As a member of Fordham’s sponsorship team, you’ll help ensure the success of our partner schools by visiting classrooms, meeting with school leaders and board members, and providing feedback that supports academic excellence and compliance.
This is a hybrid role based in Cincinnati and ideal for an experienced educator, instructional coach, or school administrator seeking flexible part-time work that makes a statewide impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct classroom visits and school site reviews to assess instructional quality and compliance.
- Participate in school site visit teams.
- Draft clear, detailed site visit reports and board meeting summaries.
- Attend school board meetings (morning or evening).
- Serve as a liaison between Fordham, school personnel, families, and community partners.
- Provide feedback and technical assistance to schools to promote improvement.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Ohio teaching license or administrative credential preferred.
- At least five years classroom teaching or instructional leadership experience.
- Excellent communication, observation, and writing skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to travel locally for site visits and meetings, and to Dayton for Fordham meetings/events.
