- Here’s a really nice look at Springfield City Schools’ International Baccalaureate program. While it is likely to be one of the smallest programs in the state—especially in a traditional district high school—Springfield’s program looks to be a huge plus for the students who take IB courses. - Kudos to the Akron Beacon Journal for uncovering—and sticking with—the story of the accidental overpayment of Science of Reading curriculum funds to Akron City Schools. And cheers to the district for returning the extra money to the state quickly upon discovery of the error. As our own Aaron Churchill says: “Hopefully those dollars can be put to good use.” Since we’ve already heard that not every district received full payment, I think we can all rest assured that good use will readily be found.
