- This news has not hit the mainstream just yet. I don’t know why. So here’s a press release announcing that another lawsuit was filed against Columbus City Schools earlier this week due to their woeful busing procedures for school choice students this school year. This time, it is specifically on behalf of a private school family. Of interest here (to me, if not the news media) are the details provided about the communication received by the family from the district and the documented material harm the lack of transportation has imposed on the family. (Citizens for Christian Virtue press release, 9/11/24) Meanwhile, Cleveland.com gives us another anti-privatization (honestly, it’s barely about vouchers at all) op-ed from what I would generously term (YMMV) the randomest of individuals. Shout out to my old stomping grounds of Lancaster, though! (Cleveland.com, 9/13/24)
- Something I will happily have another of: Dayton STEM School will be celebrating the groundbreaking for its giant new addition next week. This is just a brief notice of the event without much context. But IYKYK. And I K that you K. (Dayton Daily News, 9/12/24)
