- Internal numbers and state test score data indicate that Dayton City Schools’ students are almost back to 2019 achievement levels. Believe it or not, this is something to be happy about after two years of pandemic-related cratering of test scores. Superintendent Elizabeth Lolli credits district teachers for the reversal of fortunes, especially the two-teachers-in-every-classroom model being used this year for lower elementary grades. - Meanwhile, teachers are not the only ones in line for a $750 Covid-service bonus courtesy of the elected board members of Canton City Schools. In fact, all employees will receive the bonus—paid for with $1.5 million of federal pandemic-relief money—except for the superintendent and treasurer. (Canton Repository, 6/29/22)
