- Speaking of retention, the elected school board of Dayton City Schools voted last night to extend the contract of Superintendent Elizabeth Lolli for another year, despite the fact that she announced in January that she was leaving the job. The program is part of the Ohio Department of Education’s Covid-recovery efforts and paid for by federal grants. The most awesome part: the effort includes a charter school—a bilingual academy for Spanish-speaking students. Very nice. (Ohio Wesleyan University, 4/17/23)
