Only one clip to talk about today, but I assume all 8 of my diehard Gadfly Bites subscribers (or perhaps their electronic avatars instead—I mean, who even knows who’s reading things these days?) will be paying attention. AI is all the rage in the bougie northeast Ohio suburb of Fairview Park. Supe says he’s applying for every grant he can find to pay for new AI-powered tools for his students and for teachers’ professional development on same. Next on his list of righteous robo-toolage to help boost creativity, critical thinking, and problem solving: Khanmigo. But don’t worry, he says: “We’re taking it deliberately slow. We’re not unleashing it so that everybody has access to it because we really want teachers to go through the training and learn how to integrate it into their classroom.” Cool. And indeed AI is not “just another tool,” he adds. “We want it to be used deliberately for instruction. We’re not trying to replace teachers with technology. We’re trying to let the teachers become designers of content that they can then help coach kids through. AI could be a powerful tool to do that.” But slowly, though. (Cleveland.com, 3/20/26)
