Two former science teachers, including a past president of the National Science Teaching Association, give us a nice primer here on how valuable a “free laboratory” the upcoming total solar eclipse will be. They even take time to debunk the myths that led many schools to keep students indoors during the 2017 eclipse due to “insurance concerns”. It’s great stuff, of course, but way too late to salvage the educational value of this celestial event for Ohio kids. (EdWeek, 3/8/24)
