  1. Excellent news here about Akron City Schools’ efforts to right-size their district building inventory. Sounds like the blinders are off in central office in the face of steep enrollment declines that have left numerous schools underenrolled and some of those buildings will be permanently closed. And it’s only taken them 20 years to get here, which may be a land-speed record for a large urban district. (Cleveland.com, 12/8/23)
