- Worthington City Schools’ superintendent published an opinion piece in The 74 this week where he explains why the residents of his hamlet “still choose public schools” in an era of expanded charter and private school choice in Ohio. “Public school districts have two options,” he writes. “They can sit back and hope the pendulum of support swings back to public education, or they can use increased competition as a driving force for innovation to best serve their students’ specific needs.” He explains how his district has embraced the latter, for the benefit of their families.
