  1. Here is a great profile of Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy president Jason Spodnik. The five questions he is asked as part of the ABJ’s schtick may be a little lightweight, but his answers are definitely not—they are full of heart, humility, and mission. I would point specifically at the first (“Say I’m non-religious. Why should my child consider attending CVCA?”) and fourth (about the “rivalry” between CVCA and Walsh Jesuit; not even a thing in the boss’s eyes). And even though Cuyahoga Valley is on the grow big time (why yes, they do accept EdChoice and Jon Peterson Scholarships; I’m so glad you asked that important sixth question), Spodnik once again has a response which should give great confidence to any parents interested in exploring this option: “We’re not trying to be the biggest school; we’re actually trying to be the most impactful school.” Nice. (Akron Beacon Journal, 11/3/25)

  2. The only other item of interest I found out there was Ohio State University professor Vlad Kogan’s appearance on The Education Exchange podcast, discussing his awesome new book “No Adult Left Behind”. Worth a listen…and a read! (Education Next, 11/3/25)
