There was no education news worth talking about on Monday, thus no Bites. Today is hardly better.

  1. It’s subscriber-only content, but Gongwer covered the Ohio Senate General Government Committee (who?) hearing yesterday, in which several witnesses and legislators weighed in in favor of SB 107. That’s the proposal to add party affiliation to candidate names on school board election ballots. Said one witness: “As a parent, I want my tax dollars and my kids’ education guided by elected officials whose values I can vet — not hidden behind nonpartisan veils…  Pass SB107 to make school board ballots a tool for democracy, not deception.” The bill remains in committee. (Gongwer Ohio/State Affairs, 11/18/25)
