- Trinity Catholic High School in Garfield, Ohio, is thriving thanks to EdChoice (and the Cleveland Scholarship Program), but… Wait. You know what? There’s more words in this story, but I’m just going to stop at the actually important bit, which you have already read. No “but”s required. (WKYC-TV, Cleveland, 10/9/25)
- American Federation of Teachers president Randi Weingarten joined forces with the superintendent of New Lexington City Schools to pen an opinion piece for Fox News lauding the district’s work and successes as an example of the power of public education to be “the propeller of growth and opportunity” in that small Appalachian city. Career and Technical Education, respect for teachers, union partnerships, early education programs, and more are all touted as part of their proof. I have several immediate thoughts upon reading it, but (!) the very first thing that occurred to me is that hopefully this will take the white-hot spotlight off Steubenville for a few blessed minutes. (Fox News, 10/10/25)
