Deven Carlson is Presidential Research Professor, Associate Professor of Political Science, and Associate Director for Education at the Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis, all at the University of Oklahoma. He has written extensively on accountability, school choice, English learners, school closures, and the politics of education. His work has been funded by the National Science Foundation, the Russell Sage Foundation, the Smith Richardson Foundation, the Lumina Foundation, and the Annie E. Casey Foundation. He is currently co-editor of Educational Evaluation and Policy Analysis and is on the editorial board of Education Finance and Policy.
