Melissa Gutwein was a research intern with the Thomas B. Fordham Institute, pursuing a master's degree in education policy at Teachers College, Columbia University. Her primary research interests include racial and socioeconomic desegregation, equitable access to school choice, and the intersection between educational outcomes and social policy.
