Ann Duffett

    Co-founder and partner of the FDR Group, Ann Duffett has been conducting public opinion research since 1994. Ann's career in survey research began at Louis Harris and Associates (currently known as Harris Interactive). As a key member of Harris's public policy research team, she conducted both public and proprietary opinion research on health care, public education, women's issues, and youth violence. As Senior Vice President at Public Agenda, a nonprofit and nonpartisan research organization, she was a principal investigator and co-author of dozens of opinion studies on social issues, including after-school programs, business ethics, child care, families, immigration, public education, and religion. Ann's expertise is in qualitative methods, sample design, and project management.Before becoming a public opinion research analyst, she held positions as an organizer for the National Organization for Women and as staff liaison to the Board of Trustees of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, a national medical association. Before co-founding the FDR Group, she had more than a dozen years of experience working in nonprofit organizations.Ann has a Ph.D. in sociology from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York (CUNY). Her dissertation, Fathers Who Mother: A Study of Stay-at-Home Fathers in Contemporary American Families, explored the issues of gender, work-family balance, parenting, and child care. Ann holds a Bachelor's degree in Communication Arts and Elementary Education from Iona College in New Rochelle, New York, and a Master's degree in Public Administration from San Francisco State University.
