Jacob L. Rosch is an analyst with Public Impact. His work centers on examining school outcome data, developing quantitative models, and developing compelling methods to present education data. Mr. Rosch’s work includes “The Ohio Value-Added Primer” a guide for Ohio’s value-added test score system; “Youth at High Risk of Disconnection” a quantitative national portrait of disconnected youth; “Performance-Based Dismissals: Cross-sector Lessons for School Turnarounds” which examines how policymakers can enable positive staff turnover in chronically failing schools; “Ohio Report Card Analysis, 2008-09” a rapid-response analysis of charter, cyber, and district schools in Ohio; and “Getting Results in K-12 School Investments” which examines the impact of the Annie E. Casey Foundation’s support for public schools. Mr. Rosch has also assisted the Indianapolis Mayor’s office in designing and developing its charter school accountability reports. An accomplished saxophonist, Mr. Rosch worked as a professional musician for five years before joining Public Impact. He earned a B.A. with honors in Sociology and Music from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
